  • Ståhl-Fredh brothers make their dream come true with new QE241

    Swedish company Ståhl-Fredh decided to visit the Maskinexpo exhibition in May of this year. At the show, brothers David and Gösta Ståhl-Fredh intended to purchase a new mobile screen. Following a visit to the Sandvik booth the brothers spontaneously changed their minds, instead buying a QE241 scalper. "It's awesome, now we can take care of all the material within the company ourselves," says Gösta Ståhl-Fredh of his latest acquisition.

    Sandvik's Ranger has been upgraded with a series of new features, including improved fuel economy. A new dual pressure compressor and Cat C7.1 engine with Stage IV exhaust classification have significantly added to the efficiency and environmental credentials of the drill rig. Finnish company, Louhintaliike Ylimäki Oy, has been using its new Ranger DX800 since 2015 noting that fuel economy has been improved, whilst still delivering the same levels of outstanding performance.

    Production of the new Sandvik Dino DC400Ri drill rig began in 2014, with the first Finnish customer receiving his rig at the very end of the year. This Dino DC400Ri is now drilling in Seinäjoki, the main area in which contractor Pekka Saarela operates. After many months of productive use, it is safe to say that the rig has not only met his expectations but exceeded them.

    In order to stay ahead of the competition in what is considered to be a highly competitive market, Jens Weiß GmbH recently added to its fleet of surface drilling equipment. The company now operates the first fully remote controlled Sandvik Ranger DX800 in Germany, which has significantly added to the flexibility, safety, efficiency and performance of its drilling operations.
